On this week’s edition of Francophone Friday, four Wilfrid Laurier students will be discussing Quebecois hip hop, and the connection between language and cultural expression in Quebec.
The group will touch on the beginning of Quebecois hip hop in the early 1990s, and explore how the music has both changed, and stayed the same in the 30 years since its debut.
Cette semaine sur Francophone Friday, quatre étudiants de l’université Wilfrid Laurier vont discuter le hip hop québécois, et le lien unique entre la langue et la culture au Québec.
Les étudiants vont commencer au début du hip hip québécois dans les années 1990, et ils vont explorer comment la musique a changé, mais comment c’est resté le même aujourd’hui.
